YMTS is evolving. As a functioning company, long before it became a charity (or had a name!) A lady called Janet Robertson had a creative idea, and led groups of young people to create musical theatre pieces in the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy. A few of these young people who have been with the company right from these early days have now grown quite old, and although are still very passionate about the charity, are unable to join in with many of the projects due to the 'Youth' element.
And so XYMTS was born. A Young Company, ran by (older) young people, with an aim to exploring modern musical theatre pieces and performing classics while aiming to learn more about the arts.
